Sams Teach Yourself MCSE Windows NT Server 4 in 14 Days
About the AuthorsDavid G. Schaer is certified as both a Microsoft MCSE/MCT and a Novell MCNE/CNI. He has attended over 30 certified courses on computer topics offered by Novell and Microsoft and has provided training sessions throughout the United States, Germany, Italy, and Central America. He has contributed several technical articles to corporate newsletters. In recent years he has lectured at COMDEX/Hispania, received a certificate of award from US Army Europe and trained several hundred professionals on Microsoft and Novell products. Walter J. Glenn is an independent networking consultant and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer working in Huntsville, Alabama. He has been working in the computer industry for about 13 years as a PC technician, trainer, and consultant. He has a wife, Susan, and a one-year-old son, Liam. Marcus W. Barton is a Microsoft Certified Trainer currently employed by PC Productivity, a training and consulting firm. In addition to training the MCSE track, he consults on the deployment, integration, and migration to Windows NT and other Microsoft BackOffice products. Marcus first started with networks while serving on active duty in the United States Air Force. Theresa A. Hadden, MCSE, MCSI, has over 10 years of System Administration experience using Novell, UNIX, and Windows NT. She is presently teaching in the MCSE program at a local college where she teaches Windows NT 4.0, Networking Essentials, TCP/IP, and Internet-related products, both in the classroom and on a one-on-one basis. She is actively involved in the design and implementation of online courses that include instructor access utilizing audio conferencing via the Internet. She is the mother of two sons and presently is living in New Mexico. Russell P. Mickler has over five years of networking and PC-related experience and works as an Information Systems Manager for a durable medical equipment company out of Portland, Oregon. Mickler is pursuing his Masters degree in Applied Information Management from the University of Oregon. As both an MCP for Windows 95, NT 4.0, NT 4.0 Enterprise, Networking Essentials, and CNA for Windows 3.1x, Mickler is planning to earn his MCSE by the end of 1997. He can be contacted at mickler@paclink.com. James F. Causey is an Intel Systems Specialist for Indiana University Computing Services. He performs high-level support, development, and administration tasks for NT-centric networks, with clients ranging from NT and 95 to DOS/Windows and MacOS. He also teaches courses on networking and the Microsoft suite of operating systems, as well as doing freelance software development. Originally trained as a Military Historian, his interests include music, sports cars, history, and any other recreational task which takes him as far from computers as possible. He has occasionally been known to pine for the days when VMS was king and Commodores were cool from his home in Bloomington, Indiana. He lives with his partner, Tina, and his cat, Gabby.
